7. There Will Be Blood, Paul T. Anderson (2007)
I just have to say that Daniel Day-Lewis’ voice basically made the entire movie for me.
6. No Country for Old Men, dir. Ethan & Joel Coen (2007)
This storyline of this film was so subtly shot that it really builds up the necessary suspense need for such a thrilling crime movie. The movie follows a headhunter, Anton (Javier Bardem), who is seeking his $2 million from Llewelyn (Josh Brolin), who had stumbled upon it accidentally. The chase between the two characters is filled with excitement and lots of suspense as you anxiously find out who will survive and come out victorious. As the chase plays out, you also follow the investigation of a local cop (Tommy Lee Jones) who has been after Anton for several murders he has committed.
Definitely something you should check out— even if you’re a bit squeamish. WATCH IT.
